Terms of Service

Last updated: 17 July 2026

By creating a Kermo account or using the Kermo app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Kermo. Kermo is operated by aimdev.

What Kermo does

Kermo is a study tool that lets you practice questions modelled on the New Zealand driving theory test, with optional Ukrainian/Russian helper translations. It is a practice aid — it is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or a substitute for the official NZTA Road Code or the official theory test.

Free trial and Pro

Kermo offers 5 free practice sessions. Unlocking full access ("Pro") requires a one-time payment of NZ$9.99 including GST, processed by Stripe. Pricing shown at checkout applies. Once purchased, Pro access is tied to your account and does not expire.

Refunds and cancellation

You may request a full refund of your Pro purchase within 7 days of the purchase date, for any reason — email [email protected] with your account email and we will process it within 5 business days. This 7-day window does not affect any right you may have under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act or an equivalent consumer-protection law in your country, which are not excluded by these Terms.

Accuracy of practice content

We aim for questions and translations to be accurate and current, but Kermo is a practice tool, not an official source. Always confirm rules against the official NZTA Road Code before your real test, and do not rely solely on Kermo's content or your Kermo practice score as a guarantee of passing.

Acceptable use

  • Use Kermo only for personal study.
  • Do not attempt to scrape, redistribute, overload, reverse-engineer, or otherwise disrupt the service.
  • You are responsible for keeping your account and sign-in credentials secure.

Privacy

Your use of Kermo is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what data we process and your rights.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Kermo is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, aimdev is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from use of, or inability to use, Kermo — including any outcome of your actual driving theory test. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded (including non-excludable consumer guarantees under the NZ Consumer Guarantees Act where they apply).

Changes and termination

We may update these Terms; continued use after an update means you accept the change. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.
